Fixed Income team

The Fixed income team is responsible for managing all active money market and bond market portfolios. Michel Pelletier, Senior Vice-President, Fixed Income, supervises the activities of our fixed income investment professionals, trading desk assistants and our administrative assistant. Overall cash management for Standard Life Investments Inc. is taken care of by the team.

Portfolio management is collegial as each team member has important input into strategy development and trading in portfolios.

The specific sector responsibilities assigned to individuals are international bonds, provincial bonds, corporate bonds, private placements, and money market instruments. Trading is done after analysis by the individual dedicated to a specific market sector.

The Vice-President, Fixed Income Portfolio Management is responsible for portfolio strategy development, strategy implementation and policy monitoring. He also supervises cash movement within portfolios and money market activities.

The Vice-President, Private Placements and Corporate bonds, is dedicated to issuer quality analysis and credit risk exposure of all portfolios, and manages the private placement portfolio.

Strategy is arrived after thorough analysis and discussion of portfolio and market conditions by all professionals of the team.
